Balmar XT 170 Series Marine Alternator

This is the the NEW Balmar Marine XT Series Alternator designed specifically for Wakeboard/Tow Boats. Stock 95-125 Amp Alternators simply do not produce enough charging current to meet the high energy loads found in modern Wakeboard Boats. The XT Series Alternator produces 4-5 times more current at engine idle than the OEM alternators. We tested it & it really does produce more power!
Output at Idle : Stock OEM = 15-20 Amps Balmar XT = 80-100 Amps (This is a big deal)
Max Output: Stock OEM = 95-115 Amps Balmar XT = 170 Amps
Benefits: Longer battery life, reduced chances of being stranded with dead batteries, no need for external battery charges to maintain battery charge.
Downside: It does cost more, but if you don't have to buy batteries every other year, and can appreciate a High Output American Made product this is the answer!
Our XT Series Alternators come with the required 52" #2 Fused charging harness. YOU CANNOT REUSE THE SMALL CABLE THAT THE EXISTING ALTERNATOR IS USING.
The small voltage sense wire and ignition supply wire may need to be spliced into your harness.
