This is a "Main Boat Harness" used on A/S 18' boats and many other Ski Boats prior to 2002. This 16' harness connects the engine to the dash panel and comes with a wiring diagram.

Note: The engine side plug is a round 9pin connector and the dash side is a rectangular 8 pin plug, (there is a 9th tan wire in the harnes that is "loose" on the rectangular end)  

If you are chasing electrical gremlins between the engine and dash you may be in need of a replacement harness, especially if your boat has ever held water that has flooded the bilge for sustained peroids of time. Most ski boat run this harness below the floor from the engine to the dash.
