Some A/S boats used a rudder port during the 80's that used (2) of these grease seals at the top below the tiller arm. They are not stainless steel and the steel seal band will rot way if not greased. If you find water coming from the top of your rudder port of this style you probably need to replace the (2) seals. SOLD EACH

Identification: Brass rudder ports with a large brass nut on top just below the tiller arm,  with a grease fitting in the body.

NOTE: to remove the large rudder port nut you must locate and remove the (2) set screws in the base of the nut.

For 1 1/8" rudder post diameter
