Master Cylinder electric solenoid for the A-60 UFP Surge Brake Actuator. (Drum Brake systems do not need this) Disc Brake systems will always lock-up in reverse, to eliminate this problem a solenoid is placed at the discharge of the master cylinder and is wired to the back-up light circuit from the tow vehicle (uses a 5 wire connector) when in reverse the solenoid is energized and stops brake line pressure from reaching the wheels.
